Nandeeswarudu Movie Review

Nandeeswarudu Telugu Movie Review, Rating, Film Review: Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, who has been trying to register his first hit ever since he made his debut, is back here with Nandeeswarudu. It is a remake of Kannada hit Deadly Soma and Taraka Ratna has high hopes on this film to give him the first taste of success. Here’s the review for you…

Story:

Nandu (
Taraka Ratna) is an obedient son to his father Ananda Bhupati (Suman), who is rich and respected in their village. Nandu wants to study IPS, but gets into a fight with Baba (Ajay), which changes his life forever. He gets arrested and sent to prison, and a result he would be out of the college and his home as well. Nandu turns Nandeeswarudu and starts helping the needy. A police officer (Jagapathi Babu) is after him and how Nandeeswarudu eliminates all the evil from the city forms rest of the story.

Analysis:

Don’t know what worked in the favor of this story in Kannada. The plot offers nothing new as it is like every other so called action film targeted at mass audience.
Nandeeswarudu is filled with severed body parts and endless bloodshed.

There is absolutely any story in the film. Only thing that hero does is going on an endless punishment spree. He separates arms, legs and heads from human bodies leaving us with a sore feeling on the festival day. This film is definitely not for the festive audience.
Nandeeswarudu maybe liked by audience who crave to see blood bath on the silver screen. Direction is pretty bad and screenplay doesn’t have anything to offer. Taraka Ratna should not bank on such films as these don’t work anymore. He should give importance to the script and should depend on a director with substance.

Sadly, this is yet another blunder from his side and probably will end up as another disappointment is his track record.

Performances:

Taraka Ratna is just Okay in the lead role. His dances and fights are average and his acting is not up to the mark in so called mass masala scenes. His expressions lacked the ferocity and he is hardly deadly as the protagonist.

Sheena tried to sprinkle some glamour in the songs. She doesn’t have any significant role to play in the movie.
Jagapathi Babu is alright as the sincere-strict-chocolate-eating-cop. Ajay is fine and Rajeev Kanakala is usual. Suman and Seetha’s roles aren’t developed well.
Technicalities:

Paruchuri Brothers work disappoints. There is nothing mentionable about the technical crew. Everyone failed in their respective departments. Music is loud and painful. Editing is jerky. Photography is jaded. Director Srinivas Yarajala comes up with a shoddy work. This will easily rank amongst the bad films that are released in the recent past. If there is one person to blame for this absolutely meaningless film, that would be this man, the director.

Final Word:

Nandeeswarudu is aimed at C center audience and we are afraid that even they won’t be satisfied with purposeless mass film with loads of gore and bloodshed. Also there is serious threat from the heavyweights like Businessman and Bodyguard. Nandeeswarudu will need a miracle to enter the safe zone and let us see if it happens this time to bail out Taraka Ratna.
